Understanding the Guest Experience
GuestsWhat do your guests see? Overview of password protection, RSVP access, token links, phase redirects, and the public page experience.
Where do I find this?
Public page: /w/[slug]
Step by Step
- 1Guests open your wedding page via the link /w/[your-slug]
- 2If password protection is active: Guests enter the password (or use an access key)
- 3Guests only see content from the currently active phase (Save the Date / Wedding Website / Gallery)
- 4RSVP: Guests can respond via the open link or their personal token link
- 5Token link (/w/[slug]/rsvp?token=...): Automatically identifies the guest, no password needed
- 6Open RSVP link: Guests enter their own name and email
- 7Gallery: Guests can view photos and – if enabled – upload their own
- 8Live slideshow: /w/[slug]/live shows approved photos as fullscreen slideshow
Tips
- Test the guest experience via preview – or open the link in incognito mode
- Access keys allow different passwords for different guest groups
- The personal token link is the best way for RSVP – no risk of confusion
- Guests on mobile devices get an optimized view
- If the site is not published, guests see a 'Not yet available' page
